Anxiety-ridden San Diego poet KT Gutting is a member of the 2013 graduating class of the MFA program at Saint Mary’s College. As her writing often suggests, she prefers to keep things short.

Kevin Giberson lives in Southern California, where he works as a computer programmer. He is a graduate of the MFA program at Saint Mary’s College and thinks daily about the Bay Area and its people—mostly with fondness.

Megan Breiseth comes from Illinois and has lived in the Bay Area for 13 years. She’s the author of the chapbook Zia and the manuscript-in-progress, Fur. In addition to writing poetry, she also teaches, coaches, and reads tarot cards.

Robert Andrew Perez lives in Berkeley, California with two biologists. When not serving Chicago-style pizza realness, he is working for the English departments of UC Berkeley and Saint Mary’s College (where he earned his BA and MFA, respectively) in a variety of academic capacities ranging from undergraduate paper scrubber to lecturer. He is an associate editor for speCt!, a letterpress imprint based out of Oakland.  He also co-curates a currently unnamed reading series at University Press Books and occasionally emcees the Studio One Reading Series.  He is a recipient of the Lannan prize at Saint Mary’s and is a 2012 Lambda Literary fellow. His work can be found in The Cortland Review, Writing Without Walls and most recently The Offending Adam.

Carrie is a graduate of the MFA program at Saint Mary’s College.  She is from Kailua, Hawaii and has lived in the Bay Area since 1999.  A former middle school Language Arts teacher turned writing tutor, she spends her free time trying to figure out how to make her pug, Newman, live forever.  Her poetry has appeared in Spillway, OccuPoetry, speCt!, and Barely South Review.

Laura Walker’s most recent book, Follow–Haswed (Apogee Press, 2012), was created from fragments of individual entries in the sixth volume of the Oxford English Dictionary, “Follow-Haswed”.  She is also the author of bird book (Shearsman Books, 2011), rimertown/ an atlas (UC Press, 2008), and swarm lure (Battery Press, 2004), and the chapbook bird book (Albion Books, 2010). Her poetry has appeared in VOLT, Switchback, New American Writing, Thermos, and Fact-Simile, as well as other journals. She grew up in North Carolina and now lives in Berkeley, California, where she teaches poetry at University of San Francisco’s MFA in Writing program and UC Berkeley Extension.

Brian Ang is the author of Pre-SymbolicCommunismParadise Now, and the poetry generator THEORY ARSENAL.  Collaborations include poetry and noise with the band A White Hunter and the film “Qua Insurrection” with Mayakov+sky.  His current poetic project is The Totality Cantos: An Investigation of Epistemological Totality.  Recent criticism and theorizing have appeared in The Claudius AppLana Turner: A Journal of Poetry and OpinionRethinking Marxism, and a commentary series in Jacket2, “PennSound & Politics.”  He edits ARMED CELL in Oakland, California.

Peter Burghardt lives in Oakland where he works as a book monger and purveyor of vintage autographs.  A recent graduate of St. Mary’s MFA writing program, he is also a Poetry Editor for Omnidawn Publishing and co-publishes the book arts imprint speCt! with Gillian Hamel and Robert Andrew Perez His work has appeared in such journals as BlazeVox, The Argotist, and Catch Magazine.
